   I was pleasantly surprised to find that I liked Berserk: The Flame Dragon Knight.I was somewhat wary because the author, Makoto Fukami, was previously credited with series composition for Berserk (), and I thought that the story treatment in Berserk was almost as problematic as the visuals. Thankfully that was not the case for this book.

   The manga version is of course continuing the story far more than where the anime stops and features far more gore and sex scenes. Berserk rightfully deserves a place in the hall of fame in its genre, with it sitting on the throne, wearing the crown and holding the sceptre.
